My roommate just bought a bunch of GameCube games and they are all pretty cool. One stands out as so damn weird that I had to play it. It’s called Animal Crossing and it might be one of the more fun games out there.
The whole game is in real time 24/7. Everything goes off the GameCube clock including when stores are open, when people sleep etc. But it is a lot of fun! Most of the time you’re running around doing errands for the various weird cartoony characters. The game gets really in depth with house designing, character clothes, fishing, bug catching, the list goes on yet it is nothing like the Sims.
The characters all speak in english, sort of. They all sound a lot like Otto. There are a lot of cool things you can do if other people play on your GameCube too, you can send letters to each other, write messages on the town bulletin board and even design the towns anthem. The first player to start the game will be given the option to name the town. I got dooped! But my roommate named the town Asguard so I guess that is fine.
There are a lot of cool and very strange things in Animal Crossing but I have been glued to it for the last three hours. Rated E for everyone with my own rating of B for Bizarre.
