We just finished the sixth Harry Potter book The Half Blood Prince last night and I have come up with my own ideas on what is going to happen in book the seventh. This post does contain spoilers so please don’t read it if you don’t want to know the outcome of The Half Blood Prince.

So right off, the number one thing I have thought about is Dumbledore’s death. Now this is the big climax of the book and as such leaves what happens next open to interpretation but here are some facts.
Dumbledore has stated repeatedly that he trusts Snape with his life. He is never in doubt of Snape’s loyalty. However, Snape is the one that kills him.
Anyone find it odd that Dumbledore made sure Harry couldn’t intervene on the attack? It could be that he wanted to protect Harry from getting himself killed, however I believe he was protecting Snape.
Here is interpretation:
Dumbledore and Snape are in on this together. The water (potion) Dumbledore drank in the cave to retrieve the Hoarcrux enabled him to withstand the curse Snape hit him with. Snape, being the Half Blood Prince and one of the best damn potion makers ever could have easily come up with something like this. Also, all the dead people in the water around the fountain hints that the potion has somethnig to do with death.
This was all planned out by Dumbledore and Snape before hand.
I do find it odd that if this were the case that Snape wouldn’t know Harry was there. And perhaps he did. Remember in the film when Harry is right in front of Snape in the invisibility cloak and he seems to know someone is in front of him? Maybe Snape knew Harry was there but the Death Eaters did not.
Either way, by Snape destroying Dumbledore he would gain Voldemort’s favor even more perhaps setting him up so that Snape and Harry can kill him in book seven.
Some other oddities I found were that Dumbledore seemed to beg Snape for his life. Very Un-Dumbledore. Also, the effects of the water in the cave caused Dumbledore to beg for his life, and made him fall unconcious with fright. Why would this effect happen again after it had disappated? It could be a trace effect, or something else. Odd how Dumbledore acted similarly when he faced Snape as when he was under the influence of the potion.
So, Book Seven may likely have Dumbledore back in action. Yes, you are thinking WISHFUL THINKING HARRY POTTER GEEK. To which I reply, DISSENDIUM BOOK 7 PLOT! Or wait and see what the path in book 7 reveals!
PS YOU’RE A GEEK!
